On Tuesday
we went over to the
MBK centre, Manhattan & the Puntip Plaza. Bought pressies
for the kids, had trousers & shirts made for george & a suit
for me, pretty impressive. The links below are a few traffic
movies from that night when we went for our clothes fitting,
the first shows a fair bit of traffic, the 2nd, a motor bike & a
cart negotiating fast traffic somehow! These shots still
do not show what it was really like, it was horrific, heart
in the mouth sort of stuff & yet no road rage, amazing!
We didn't see any accidents as well which was really quite
strange as nobody obeys any road rules. |
Fun & games coming back in the
night from our fitting, the taxi driver told the staff at Manhatten
he knew where to go & then partway back kept saying different
places & could not understand us. We finally recognised an intersection
that was about a block away from our hotel so jumped out there.
My first non-Thai meal tonight, we found a little Italian Rest.,
absolutely beautiful food with Singa Beers. Bought a few more
pressies at the markets after dinner then back to the hotel to
collapse after another long, long day. |
